LenSA is an organization which pays a great attention to social, politic and religious issues.   It was established due to the rise of social conflicts (in the name of religion), state intervention on private life and the spread of anarchism.   The concern has forced LenSA activists to take the issue as a common agenda. Activists at LenSA are keen to raise issues such as Islam and democracy, Transformative education, pluralism and peaceful journalism.  

The agenda is formulated into real action plan such as conducting alternative education for activists, training on peaceful journalism and providing advocacy to the people.     The organization is also actively involved in promoting local culture and sponsoring study on Islam and democracy and pluralism.        

The organization which currently has 20 staffs is establishing an alliance with other NGOs such as LKiS Yogyakarta, Yayasan Khas Jakarta, INCEP Jakarta. LenSA’s funding partner is LKiS Jakarta.   LenSA also establishes a network of cooperation with KAIL Bandung , INCEP Jakarta, SOMASI – NTB, LBH APIK NTB, Konsorsium NGO KTI, Konsorsium – JPS, YPKM – NTB and NC – NTB.   As a fast growing organization LenSA needs strong financial back up to finance its activities.   However the organization admits it is still in short of funds. It also still has a problem related to internal organization.  

Therefore if there is an offer funds LenSA will use it to improve capacity building.   LenSA will also use the funds to restructure its organization and improve infrastructure such as acquiring office and purchasing office equipments: computer, printer etc). LenSA will fund raising initiatives to achieve sustainable finances.
